And they are growing up....

way too fast! Beckett has added a new word to his vocabulary of which he is very fond and threw it out at Ava yesterday. "That girl is HOT!" he said while watching the 1984 movie, Karate Kid (ya right Beckett, that girl is REALLY hot) ;-). Ava got this incredibly baffled look on her face and (bless her heart) she was trying to figure out what he meant and follow along with her big brother. "She's sweaty Beckett? So we don't like her, right?" We have a lot of dialogue in our household like that, saving us TONS of money on outside entertainment.
We had a FABULOUS time at ski fest 2010. Beckett was quite reserved at first and very afraid on his first boat ride of the season he went on with Mimaw and Ava. Mimaw reported back, he barely cracked a smile and squeezed Ava's hand tightly as the boat bounced over the water and sprayed into his face. Ava, my wild child, apparently loved every minute of it and squealed with delight! He was introduced to the knee boards and tubes and at first didn't know what to think. BUT, he did have a reputation to uphold in front of all these older kids and pretty girls...and BY GOLLY! He did it! Yes, my little man was a knee boarding, tubing fool by the end of the long weekend! What a great weekend!
